Darien Boy Scouts Hold Annual Tag Sale Sunday

DARIEN, Conn. -- Darien residents in need of some new furniture or lawn tools will want to check out the Darien Boy Scout's 44th annual Giant Tag Sale on Sunday, May 1, at the Andrew Memorial Scout Cabin at 140 West Ave.

The sale, which runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., will feature thousands of items will be for sale, including furniture, lawnmowers, snow blowers, grills, garden tools, strollers, bikes, toys and games, sporting goods, electronics, books, linens, lamps, rugs, art and collectibles, housewares, and more.

Larger items such as cars and boats are featured at www.darienscouts.org.

The tag sale is the primary fundraiser for the Andrew Shaw Memorial Trust, which sponsors the Darien Boy Scout and Cub Scout programs, now entering their second century.
