The entry fee for artists is $20 for adults and $10 per piece for children. Artists can submit up to two pieces of artwork. If submitting two pieces, at least one must be designated for sale. A 25 percent commission from each sale will benefit the Darien Arts Center.
Entries in a variety of media including acrylic, drawing/pastel, mixed media/printmaking, sculpture, watercolor, color photography and black and white photography are welcome.
Participants can register online at darienarts.org until 7 p.m. May 26 and can drop off entries on May 26 from 2 until 8 p.m. Submitted pieces must be ready to hang with a wire on the back. If needed, the center will assist with wiring at the drop-off site for a fee.
Prizes and the Ginny Wright Scholarship will be awarded during an opening night reception May 29 from 7 to 9 p.m. After the opening night reception, the sale will be held daily May 30 through June 6 from noon to 5 p.m. in the DAC Weatherstone Studio at 2 Renshaw Road.
The show and sale is open to Darien Arts Center students as well as residents and workers in Darien. Nonresidents may enter with a donation to the organization.
