The business arrived in town two weeks ago. Owner Jenny Yu had worked in a nail salon for seven years up until four years ago.
"I lowered my head all the time, so I had a cervical problem. And at the same time, my daughter, an ultrasound tech, her job hurts her shoulders, neck, and wrist," Wang said. "So one time she offered me a deep tissue body work. We went together. After the session, we both felt very good, so relaxed. So when I got home I started to learn how to do reflexology and body work."
Wang read books about the therapies to find out about the benefits.
In addition, she talked to massage technicians and learned that reflexology, according to studies, can reduce pain, relax tense muscles and mental stress.
"Also the reflexology can increase your circulation when the massage technician provides deep tissue pressure. On the feet, there are so many pressure points. They all stand for different organs of your body. And a full body massage offers multiple benefits, both physically and psychologically," Yu said.
Since opening in November, both men and women have gone in for services.
"The gender doesn't matter The one who works hard needs to do the body work or the foot reflexology to reduce pain, stress, anxiety, and depression," she said.
Customers also buy gift certificates for family and friends, a signal that tells her, "Health is the most important thing for everyone."
"Reflexology and body work can help (people) be more healthy."
