Fire Breaks Out At Pepperidge Farm Facility In CT A tent fire with several drums of toxic chemicals underneath halted production at a Connecticut Pepperidge Farm bakery plant. The incident took place around 4:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 23, at the bakery in Hartford County located at 1414 Blue Hills Ave. in Bloomfield. According to Blue Hills Fire Chief Willie Jones, firefighters arriving on the scene found several drums containing about 200 gallons of sulfuric acid under a tent-life structure burning.
