Jeremy Kipnis, 54, of Redding, was found floating in the middle of Lake Carmel around 5:30 a.m., Monday, July 22, said the Kent Police. Search For Missing CT Man Causes Closures Of Lake Carmel Lake Carmel is closed to swimmers and boaters as emergency responders search for a missing man. The Lake Carmel Fire Department said it was dispatched on a report of a missing swimmer at around 7:35 p.m. Saturday, July 20. The man has been identified as a Connecticut resident in his 50s. The department was assisted in the search by the Carmel Fire Department, Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department dive team and Putnam County Sheriff's Department, Kent Police. Motorcyclist Rushed To Hospital After Crash Near Market In Mahopac A motorcyclist was hospitalized after crashing near a grocery store in the area on Sunday morning, April 7. The crash occurred in the area in front of Red Mills Market on Route 6N in Mahopac Falls.
