Danbury Woman Nabbed During Super Bowl Weekend Drunk Driving Enforcement Detail: Police A police enforcement detail conducted over Super Bowl weekend in the Hudson Valley resulted in several drunk driving arrests, authorities announced.  The enforcement detail was conducted in Putnam County by the Carmel Police Department and resulted in a total of four arrests on Saturday, Feb. 10, according to Carmel Police Lt. Teen Killed After Car Hits Tree, Bursts Into Flames, Police Say An 18-year-old Mahopac teen was killed during a crash in which his vehicle struck a pine tree and then the car burst into flames. John Rossetti, 18, was killed around 11:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, when his gray Honda Civic struck the tree on Woodbine Drive, came to rest on its passenger side, and then the engine block and tree burst into flames, said Carmel Police Lt. Head-On Rollover Crash Injures Three In Carmel A rollover crash in Putnam County left three people hospitalized following a head-on collision in Carmel. First responders were dispatched to Drewville Road at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 23, police said. Two were transported to Putnam Hospital, and a third was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center following the crash with non-life-threatening injuries. Police said that the crash is currently under investigation by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and Carmel Police Department. No cause for the crash has been released.
