Connecticut's Jobless Rate Declines To 5.7 Percent In July BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Connecticut added 1,700 jobs during July to a level of 1,693,000, when the preliminary Connecticut nonfarm job estimates are seasonally adjusted, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics . “There is uniformly good news in our employment surveys last month,” said Andy Condon, director of the Office of Research. “Payroll jobs grew.
