The driver called police to report the incident after he attempted to deliver the pizza to an apartment on Padanaram Road around 11:30 p.m., police said.
The driver told police that when the resident, identified as Damian Davis, 37, opened the door he began yelling at him saying the pizza was late, so he wasn't going to pay for it, police said.
Davis then pointed to a silver and black handgun in a holster on his belt and said that he was a police officer and took the pizza, police said.
Davis was arrested and charged with breach of peace, larceny, impersonating a police officer and second-degree robbery. He was released on $5,000 bond with a court date of July 20.
