Danbury Man Charged In Two Robberies

DANBURY, Conn. - A Danbury man was charged Tuesday in connection with two robberies in May in the city, police said.

The Danbury Police Department asks that residents contact police if they fear for their safety or the safety of the community.

Alivn Williams, 47, is charged in the May 18 robbery of the Subway on Main Street and the May 19 robbery of the Citgo Gas Station on White Street, police said. 

According to the police report, a knife was used in both robberies. 

Williams was charged with two counts of first-degree robbery and was held on $100,000 bond until his court date is set, police said.
