Members of the Danbury Police Special Investigations unit and a K-9 Officer executed the search warrant at 7:50 p.m. Thursday, according to police officials.
The warrants were issued following a weeks-long police investigation into Joseph Dlubac after residents complained he was selling drugs in and around Danbury, police said.
Authorities seized Dlubac and his vehicle in a private parking lot at 16 Great Plain Road, police said. Dlubac and his vehicle were taken back to his residence at 5 Nabby Road, Unit 148b, for further police search, police said.
Officers found a substantial quantity of cocaine, both packaged for sale and not packaged, as well as drug paraphernalia and cash in Dlubac's possession, police said.
Dlubac was arrested and charged with: possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a daycare, possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a daycare and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was held on $100,000 bond, police said.
