DANBURY, Conn. – Ruth M. Ryan of Danbury died Jan. 16 at Danbury Hospital. She was 73.
Ryan was born Feb. 12, 1939, in Mississippi to Johnson and Catherine Whitfield Love. She attended Mississippi schools and had been a resident of Danbury since 1960.
She worked at Danbury Pharmaceutical, J.P. Stevens Co. and the former Mediplex for many years and attended New Hope Baptist Church in Danbury.
Ryan is survived by a son, George Ryan, of Seattle; four brothers, T.C. Love, D.C. Love, Henry Love and Will Love; two sisters, Essie Love and Mattie Richardson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home in Danbury, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Burial will take place at the family plot in Mississippi.
