DANBURY, Conn. - Manuel Furtado Jr. of Danbury died Monday, Sept. 29. He was 50.
Furtado was born May 27, 1964, in Danbury, to Maria Furtado and Manuel Furtado Sr. He attended Danbury schools. He was an equipment operator with Furtado Construction and various companies in Danbury. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Danbury.
Furtado is survived by his mother, Maria; brothers Louis Furtado and Jose Furtado; sisters Elizabeth Furtado and Sandra Lariviere; and a niece and a nephew. He was predeceased by his father, Manuel.
Calling hours are Wednesday, Oct. 1, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 149 Deer Hill Ave., Danbury with the Rev. Jose Brito Martins, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
