An inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury is facing new charges after being busted with a weapon while inside the facility, officials announced on Thursday.
John Durham, the United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that a federal grand jury in New Haven returned an indictment this week charging John Faucher, 40, with one count of possession of contraband in a federal prison.
The indictment states that on March 12, Faucher was found in possession of a “weapon or an object designed or intended to be used as a weapon.” If convicted, Faucher faces a term of five years in prison and a fine up to $250,000.
