FCI Danbury Inmate Admits To Possessing Weapon
An inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury is facing five more years in prison after admitting to having a weapon while in custody. John Faucher, 41, pleaded guilty this week to one count of possession of contraband in a federal prison dating back to an incident on March 12, when he possessed “an object designed or intended to be used as a weapon.” Faucher had been serving a 46-month sentence for robbing a convenience store in Manchester, New Hampshire in September 2016 and a bank the next month. An inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury is facing new charges after being busted with a weapon while inside the facility, officials announced on Thursday. John Durham, the United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that a federal grand jury in New Haven returned an indictment this week charging John Faucher, 40, with one count of possession of contraband in a federal prison.
