The program, which provides homeless residents with gift cards for litter collection, is a collaborative effort between Danbury and the Jericho Partnership, said WLAD.com.

Homeless residents who volunteer for the program are provided mentoring and paid with a $35 gift card after each half-workday. The program is aimed at providing a gateway to full-time employment for the area's homeless, added WLAD.com.
