Scammers Posing As Officers Are Requesting Money For Fines, Westport Police Warn Police in Fairfield County are warning residents about scammers calling and identifying themselves as officers and requesting money for fines owed. Just such an incident occurred in Westport on Friday, Feb. 16 when a resident received a voice mail from a person requesting money. According to Capt. Man Accused Of Stealing Nearly $1K Worth Of Legos From CT Target Police in Connecticut are asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly stole nearly $1,000 in LEGOs from a Target. The incident took place in Hartford County on Saturday, Feb. 3 at the Target in Southington. Alert Issued For Missing Man In CT Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding a missing man in Connecticut.  Justin Shvetz, age 40, was last seen in the Tolland County town of Vernon in the area of Old Town Road, Vernon Police announced on Tuesday, Feb. 13 around 2:15 p.m. Shvetz is described as 5-foot-6 and 135 pounds, police said. Fratelli Beretta USA, Inc., based in Mount Olive, NJ, says the undetermined amount of ready-to-eat (RTE) meat charcuterie products containing Coppa may be under-processed, which may have resulted in possible contamination with foodborne pathogens. The recall was announced by the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
