Wanted Man Attacked Troopers During Probe Of Suspicious Calls To Bradley Airport
A 31-year-old man who had multiple warrants for his arrest attacked Connecticut State Troopers on Monday, June 19, authorities said.
Hartford County resident Martel O. Davis, of Windsor, was charged with assaulting public safety officer, interfering with police, and failure to comply with fingerprint requirements, state police said. He was being held on a $150,000 bond.
Police did not describe the nature of the calls to Bradley Airport in Windsor Locks, but investigators said they traced them back to Davis, who already had two open warrants for his arrest.

CT State Trooper Faces DUI Charge In Bethel
A Connecticut State Police trooper has been arrested for driving under the influence and other charges in Fairfield County.
Trooper Andrew Murphy was arrested by Bethel Police around 2:10 a.m., Sunday, June 20, after an officer spotted him in a parking lot stumbling and apparently intoxicated, said Bethel PD Lt. Robert J. Durkin.
The officer spoke with Murphy and instructed him not to drive his vehicle, which was parked, Durkin said.
"Murphy disregarded the officer, entered his vehicle, and began driving," he said.

Police arrested two men in connection with the theft of more than $20,000 in high-end handbags from a Fairfield County merchant.
Members of the Greenwich Police Organized Retail Criminal Activity Unit chased three suspects on foot down Greenwich Avenue on Wednesday, Jan. 27, after they were observed steeling high-value handbags from a local merchant, said Lt. John Slusarz.
Two of the suspects were apprehended after a brief foot pursuit and struggle. The third suspect got away with over $20,000 of merchandise, Slusarz said.

Two Charged In Hit-Run Of Bridgeport Firefighter
Two people have been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run in June 2019 that left a Bridgeport firefighter seriously injured.
Adrian Cauthen, 33, and Frances Marino, 33, both of Bridgeport, were arrested Thursday, Jan. 23, were charged in connection with hitting the off-duty fireman who was crossing Stratford Avenue when he was hit and left in the roadway, said Bridgeport Police Capt. Kevin Gilleran.
According to Gilleran, Erique McCalla, 46, was crossing Stratford Avenue around 11:18 p.m., June 28, 2019, when he was struck by a vehicle.

Boyfriend Attacks Woman At Stamford Medical Office In Front Of Patients, Police Say
A 44-year-old area man is behind bars after walking into a doctor's office where his girlfriend works and dragging her by her hair and attacking her in front of patients.
The incident took place around 3:25 p.m., Monday, Oct. 28, when Dwayne Keel, of Bridgeport, entered the medical office located in the 12- block of High Ridge Road, Stamford Police Sgt. Robert Shawinsky said.

Wrong-Way Driver, 31, Was Driving Without License In Greenwich, Police Say
A Greenwich man was arrested after police nabbed him driving the wrong way down a street Sunday afternoon.
Mark Traisman, 31, was pulled over around 1:10 p.m. on Greenwich Avenue by Greenwich police officers. Once stopped he handed the officer police a driver’s license with another person’s name, according to the arrest report,
It was later revealed he did not have a valid license, according to the arrest report.
