A 21-year-old man implicated in an armed robbery in a Fairfield County park has been arrested for a midday shooting that left two with injuries in Norwalk, police said. Officers from the Norwalk Police Department were called to the intersection of Woodward Avenue and Grove Street at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 7, where there was a report of a shooting with two victims down. Police said that the two victims were struck by bullet fragments and suffered minor injuries. Shooting Injuring Two Under Investigation In Norwalk
Two were struck by bullet fragments in a yet-unsolved Norwalk shooting. Police were called to the intersection of Woodward Avenue near Grove Street on Monday, Sept. 7 at approximately 5:15 p.m. Two bystanders had been struck by bullet fragments -- one denied medical attention, and the other was brought to Norwalk Hospital for treatment then released, police said. A house fire displaced 16 people in Norwalk. Firefighters responded at 6:51 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5 to a house on Grove St. where a fire reportedly started in the basement and extended to the first floor of the home, according to Norwalk Fire Department. First responders arriving were met with heavy fire at the front door, the department said. Fire Breaks Out In Norwalk Apartment Building; Tenants Evacuated
NORWALK, Conn. — Six apartments were damaged but no injuries were reported in a fire Wednesday morning at Carlton Court in Norwalk, according to media reports and social media posts from first responders. Tenants in the complex on Monterey Place evacuated as the fire broke out at about 7:30 a.m., according to the Connecticut Post.
