Attempted Murder: Juvenile Arrested For Serious CT Assault, Police Say
A juvenile has been arrested after he allegedly assaulted a young man, leaving him seriously injured.
The Middlesex County incident occurred on Friday, May 24, at around 8:30 p.m. in the town of Westbrook.
According to the Connecticut State Police, a young man (whose identity has not been released due to age) was seen on security footage assaulting another young man on Boston Post Road.
After the assault, he fled on foot, leaving his victim injured. Authorities airlifted the juvenile to an area hospital with serious injuries.

A man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for a 2022 double homicide has been nabbed by the US Marshals Service in Connecticut.
Kensworth Alton Francis, 29, of Mississauga, Ontario, was arrested in Hartford on Tuesday, March 26.
York Regional Police said they are working to extradite Francis to the York Region.

A man who was a suspect in the shooting of two Connecticut women, killing one and leaving the other in critical condition, has committed suicide.
During a press conference on Tuesday, March 8, Waterbury Police identified the woman who was killed and announced the suicide.
The victim of the shooting that took place around 2:15 a.m., Saturday, March 5 in New Haven County in Waterbury was identified as Glenys Maomi Aloyo, age 35, of Waterbury, said Lt. Ryan Bessette, of the Waterbury Police.

A Fairfield County man awaiting trial for allegedly assaulting a girlfriend has been arrested again for firing shots at another woman he used to date, police said.
Demetrius Young, age 27, of Bridgeport, turned himself in to police assigned to the US Marshal Service Task Force on Tuesday, Nov. 30, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management for Bridgeport.

An alert was issued for 60-year-old Armendo Moreno, who is wanted by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, who allegedly had “deviate sexual intercourse” with his 17-year-old victim in Westchester County.
