Car Goes Off The Road, Tractor Catches Fire On Snowy Day In Monroe MONROE, Conn. -- Monroe firefighters spent a busy snow day on Saturday dealing with a car that went off the road and a tractor that caught fire.The car went off the road on Wheeler Road on Saturday, one of multiple accidents around Monroe and the surrounding towns, according to the Monroe Volunteer Fire Department. Nobody was injured in the Wheeler Road accident. Soon after the Wheeler Road call, firefighters extinguished a tractor fire in a driveway on Purdy Hill Road. Nobody was injured in that incident.
