Maeno, who was reported missing on Thursday, Nov 18, was last seen leaving a friend’s apartment, in Stamford, at around noon on Wednesday, Nov. 17, police said.

Maeno had a disagreement with his wife and seemed upset. Maeno told his coworker he would be working from home for the rest of the day but never returned home, police said.

On Friday, Nov 19, his vehicle was found by the Redding Police Department located at the West Redding Railroad Station unoccupied.

Stamford, Redding, and MTA Police conducted an extensive search of the area, (which is heavily wooded) but did not locate Maeno, Hohn said.

On Tuesday, Nov 23, officers from Stamford Police Special Victims Unit resumed the search, with the help of the Ct State Police Search and Rescue Unit, MTA, Redding, and Westport Police Departments.

Maeno's body was found about 100 yards into a wooded area off Sidecut Road and the SimpaugTurnpike.

The investigation is still active but there are no signs of foul play currently, Hohn said.

An autopsy is being conducted.
