On Tuesday, high temperatures in the low 80s are expected to heat up inland areas, with temps in the upper 70s along Long Island Sound.
Those daily high temperatures are 15 to 20 degrees above normal for this time in October in southern New England, the weather service said.
The strong winds may bring minor coastal flooding on Tuesday in southern Fairfield County. Tides could be a half-foot about astronomical levels from noon to 3 p.m., the weather service warned.
Minor flooding is possible along the most vulnerable shore roads and properties.
High temperatures will continue Wednesday across Fairfield County, with a slight chance of showers in the evening, bringing slightly cooler temperatures.
More autumn-like conditions will return on Thursday, with a 30 percent chance of showers and temperatures in the upper 60s.
Rain continues on Friday, with the high temps again near 68 degrees.
Cooler weather return on the weekend, with temperatures highs near 60 and lows near 50.
