The National Weather Service predicts snow will move into the region on Saturday afternoon. The NWS said snow is likely after noon on Saturday, with accumulations of 1 to 3 inches possible. Temperatures expect to hover around the mid 20s with wind chill values between 10 and 15 degrees.
The snow will end by Saturday evening. Temperatures will remain cold, with the wind chill staying between 5 and 10 degrees.
Saturday’s storm will skirt Connecticut’s coastline. If the storm moves farther to the west, snowfall accumulations could be more significant.
Sunday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the mid 20s and a stiff Northwest wind that could gust as high as 28 miles per hour.
Temperatures are forecast to moderate next week, and no snow is predicted in the extended outlook.
