Large Amount Of Money Stolen From ATM At Bank In Darien Police are investigating after a large amount of money was stolen from an ATM at a bank in Fairfield County. At about 9:40 am. on Tuesday, April 11, police in responded to Webster Bank at 1101 Post Road (Route 1) in Darien. on a report of money stolen from the ATM machine.  The employee noticed the ATM had been tampered with when entering the bank, Darien Police said. The employee conducted an audit of the ATM and discovered a large amount of money was stolen.  The investigation is ongoing.

Suspect Nabbed After Robbing Victim At ATM, Police Say A Connecticut man was arrested after threatening to stab a man with an infected needle during an alleged robbery at an ATM. The incident took place in New Haven County in Milford on Tuesday, May 24, at the Webster Bank, 100 Broad St. An investigation into the incident found that Thomas Yorkshaitis, age 39, of Bethany, threatened to stab a man with an infected needle if he did not give him the money withdrawn from an ATM machine, the Milford Police said. Yorkshaitis was arrested and charged with: Larceny Robbery Threatening He was held on a $200,000 bond.
