Greenwich Woman Nabbed With Loaded Gun At JFK, TSA Says
A Greenwich woman was arrested by the New York Port Authority Police for allegedly bringing a loaded gun in a carry-on bag to John F. Kennedy International Airport. The incident took place at a security checkpoint on Friday, Feb. 10 at the airport. According to TSA officers, the unidentified woman was nabbed while she was escorting a minor to their gate. TSA agents in Connecticut made an interesting find in one woman's carry-on bag. On Tuesday, Jan. 10, TSA officers at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks found a replica of a Flintlock pistol that had been retooled into a key hook in the bag, according to a tweet by TSA New England spokesman Dan Velez. Connecticut residents planning to take a domestic flight are going to have to “get real" within the next nine months if they hope to board their plane. Beginning on Thursday, Oct. 1, a standard Connecticut driver’s license won’t be enough to get on even a domestic flight, and although that is months away, the DMV is encouraging residents to get ahead of the game.
