Monday marked Ridgefield Police Dispatcher Isabel “Issy” Caporale's last day on the job after 11 years on the job before launching her new career at St. Mary's School in Ridgefield, the department. Victim Of Fatal Candlewood Lake Accident Was Beloved Teacher The victim of a fatal boating accident on Candlewood Lake in New Fairfield was a beloved middle school teacher and a single mother of two. Wanda Tirado, 38, of Waterbury, was fatally injured when she was swimming near Squantz Cove late Tuesday afternoon.
