New Canaan High School Mourns Sudden Death Of Senior
A community in Fairfield County is mourning the sudden death of a high school student-athlete.
Elliott Kropf, a senior who attended New Canaan High School, died on Saturday night, Sept. 14.

"Elliott was a strong student, an excellent athlete, a kind young man, and a wonderful friend, and he will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him," New Canaan Public Schools Superintendent Bryan Luizzi said in a statement on Sunday, Sept. 15.

Video Released Of Meryl Streep Nephew, New Canaan HS Grad, Road-Rage Fight
New videos have been released of actress Meryl Streep’s nephew assaulting a teenager outside a Long Island bank earlier this year during a bout of road rage.
Charles Harrison Streep, 31, allegedly assaulted his 18-year-old victim, David Peralta, in the parking lot of a Chase Bank on Main Street in East Hampton on Monday, Aug. 24, causing “serious head trauma,” police said.
On Wednesday, Oct. 27, lawyers for Peralta released videos of the incident, which show the much larger Streep lifting and slamming Peralta to the ground like a rag doll.

Lisa Annunziato, Beloved Teacher In Ridgefield For 21 Years, Dies At 57
Lisa Annunziato, who taught at Ridgefield Academy for 21 years, died Thursday, Aug. 29, at age 57.
"It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of our dear friend and colleague," the school announced on Facebook.
"She was passionate about education, especially her work with math and history, and was deeply committed to her students, her school, and the craft of teaching. She developed deep and meaningful relationships with students, colleagues, and parents, and was highly effective in the classroom."
Annunziato died at home in Ridgefield, said the obituary.

Former New Canaan Schools Food Service Director Latest Charged In $478,588 Embezzlement Case
A former New Canaan Schools food service director is the latest to be arrested in connection with a lunch embezzlement scheme that cost the school district almost a half million dollars in profits.
Bruce Gluck, 61, of Middletown Springs, Vermont, was arrested on Monday, April 29, by New Canaan Police for allegedly stealing funds from the Saxe Middle School cafeteria and the New Canaan High School cafeteria, said Lt. Jason Ferraro.
