The election will be held Tuesday, Feb 27. Hoydick resigned from the House seat Jan. 2 after she was elected mayor of Stratford. Under state law, the governor is required to issue a Writ of Special Election within 10 days of a legislative vacancy. And a special election must be held exactly 46 days after the writ is issued.
