Sommer Hinds, of Bridgeport, was reported missing on Saturday, April 30, after she failed to return home on Friday, April, 29. Sommer’s father told Bridgeport Police his daughter left the house around 6 p.m. on Friday when he wasn’t home, said Scott Appleby, director of emergency management for Bridgeport. Man Dies From Injuries After Overnight Shooting In Bridgeport An unidentified man has died after an overnight shooting at the Green Homes apartment complex in Bridgeport. The incident occurred at around 1 a.m. Thursday, July 4 off Center Street, said Bridgeport Police. The victim was a 22-year-old who was shot in the forehead by an assailant behind Building 4, police said. The victim's identity is being withheld from the public pending autopsy.
