A restaurant based on a hit television cooking competition hosted by one of the world's biggest culinary stars is set to debut in Connecticut later this year. Foxwoods Resort Casino, located in Mashantucket in New London County, announced that Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen will open in the Grand Pequot Concourse this summer. Wahlburgers, a restaurant chain founded by brothers Mark, Donnie, and Chef Paul Wahlberg, is set to open a new location in Connecticut. Foxwoods Resort Casino, located in New London County, said in an announcement on Wednesday, Aug. 3, that a new Wahlburgers restaurant will open at the hotel and casino complex next summer. Food Network star Guy Fieri has just opened five new delivery/take-out-only restaurants in Connecticut. There is now a Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Kitchen in Darien, Farmington, Glastonbury, Newington, and Avon. Flavortown is uniquely fit for service during a pandemic. 19: Foxwoods Reports Strong Revenue Since Reopening Amid Pandemic
Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut has seen a boom in business since reopening last month amid the COVID-19 pandemic. In the month of June, Foxwoods reportedly earned a slot revenue of more than $33 million after reopening following several months of being forced to close due to COVID-19. The president and CEO of Foxwoods Resort Casino, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 18. Felix Rappaport was 65 years old. During Rappaport's more than four years as a visionary leader of one of the world's largest and most successful gaming enterprises, his contributions to the broader Foxwoods team have been profound, the company said.
