1 Killed, 2 Wounded In Bridgeport Shooting, Police Say One person was killed and two others seriously injured during a shooting in Fairfield County overnight. The incident took place in Bridgeport, on Saturday, Aug. 13, around 1:50 a.m. in the area of Barnum Avenue & Knowlton Street. Bridgeport police received reports of multiple parties struck by gunfire in the area of Barnum Avenue and Knowlton Street, said Capt. Kevin Gilleran, of the Bridgeport Police. Bridgeport Man Found Shot To Death In Car, Police Say Police are investigating after a man from the region was found shot to death on a city street. Fairfield County resident Michael Harrigan, age 42, of Bridgeport, was discovered by police around 4:45 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 12, after receiving a call for an unresponsive man in a car. According to Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management for Bridgeport, police responded to 64 Black Rock Ave., where they found Harrigan dead inside the car from an apparent gunshot wound. Victims Identified In Bridgeport Restaurant Shooting Police Police have identified the man who was gunned down and killed and another who was injured while inside a Fairfield County restaurant, saying the shootings are "tragic." The 54-year-old murder Stratford man who was killed around 12:55 a.m., Sunday, July 11, while inside the Copa Restaurant on Lexington Avenue in Bridgeport, has been identified as Joselito Calderon, of Stratford. The second man who was shot and injured has been identified as Niel Francisco, age 30, of Bridgeport. One Dead, One Wounded In Shooting Inside Bridgeport Restaurant One person was killed and another injured during a shooting inside a Fairfield County restaurant.  The shooting took place around 12:55 a.m., Sunday, July 11 at the Copa Restaurant located at the intersection of  Lexington Avenue and Harral Avenue in Bridgeport. When Bridgeport police arrived on the scene they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds, said Captain Kevin Gilleran. The victims were quickly transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital. 40-Year-Old Woman Found Dead Inside Bridgeport Home A 40-year-old woman was found dead inside her home after police were called to perform a welfare check in Fairfield County. Jennifer Brelsford, of Bridgeport, was found dead inside a home at 176 Goodard Ave., around 8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 18, by Bridgeport officers responding to the scene, said Bridgeport Police Capt. Brain Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald said Brelsford was found with "obvious signs of trauma," to her body inside the home.
