Teen Gives Fake Name After Intoxicated Person Report, Carmel Police Say A teen was arrested after he gave Carmel officers a fake name when being interviewed on Friday, Aug. 25 at the Countryside Kitchen in Mahopac, said Carmel police. John Casterella, 19, of Bedford Hills, was arrested after police were called to the restaurant to deal with an intoxicated person, police said. Casterella gave officers a fraudulent name during their investigation and when they discovered he was lying, he was charged with false personation, police added. He was released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.

ID Released For 22-Year-Old Woman Who Jumped From Bear Mountain Bridge A woman who jumped from the Bear Mountain Bridge in April and whose body was recovered on Wednesday has been identified. The body of 22-year-old Malka Lebovits of New City was recovered in the Hudson River on Wednesday night after the occupants of a cabin cruiser passing through the area spotted the body and notified police, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the Westchester County Police Department.
