The Democrat, who was the winner of last month's seven-way election, was officially sworn in on a rainy Tuesday evening in a ceremony at the Klein.
It's a redemption for Ganim, who previously served five terms as mayor. But his time at City Hall came to an end when he was convicted of federal corruption charges and spent seven years in prison.
Ganim was re-elected this fall, beating previous mayor Bill Finch in the primary, then winning the November general election in a landslide.
