The incident occurred around 11:50 a.m. at 1069 Connecticut Ave., said Av Harris, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police.

The male suspect was last seen running down Waterman Street towards Stratford Avenue, Harris said.

There is no further information at this time and the suspect is still on the run, police said.

The woman is expected to recover.
