Red Cross Helps Family After Bridgeport Fire

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — The Red Cross is helping a Bridgeport family whose house had a fire Sunday, according to the Connecticut Post.

The residents — one adult and two kids — were not injured in the kitchen blaze at 66 Poplar St. just past 2 p.m., which was swiftly knocked out by fire personnel, according to the report.

The family was given personal care items and information about recovery from the Red Cross.

The Red Cross is able to provide assistance through donations and commitment of its volunteers.
