BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A 30-year-old Bridgeport man is facing sexual assault and unlawful restraint charges following a Bridgeport police investigation into a report from an 18-year-old neighbor that he assaulted her in July after returning her lost dog, according to the CT Post.
Robert Rivera, of Pearl Harbor Street, is free on $250,000 bond on charges of first-degree sexual assault and first-degree unlawful restraint. Police said DNA connected him to the incident, the CT Post says.
The 18-year-old victim told police that on July 28, her dog got loose. The man came to her door to return the dog, but then entered the house and assaulted her in the living room, the CT Post reports.
