LaBonte was born in Webster, Mass. He was a retired salesman. LaBonte also served as a junior lieutenant in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Cahill LaBonte; three daughters Margaret Judge of Vermont, Joan Bailey of Colorado and Elizabeth Hoffman of Pennsylvania; one sister, Joan Ehler of California; and eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
No calling hours are planned. A funeral service is set for Monday at noon at the Assumption Church in Fairfield.
Interment will be private.
Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Ave., Bridgeport, is handling arrangements.
