Drivers, Beware Of Overnight Lane Closures On I-95 In Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Drivers should be on the lookout for overnight lane closures on I-95 in both directions as bridge maintenance work begins.

This work is scheduled to occur from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday, May 11, to the morning of Friday, May 29. Work will be performed on the following bridges:

Bridge # 00111 over Bridgeport Harbor and local roads at mile marker 29.33
Bridge # 00115 over Yellow Mill Channel and local roads at mile marker 30.07

Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 northbound and southbound between Exit 26 for Worden Avenue and Exit 29 for Seaview Avenue in Bridgeport.

No work will be done during Memorial Day weekend from Sunday, May 24, through Tuesday, May 26.

Traffic control personnel and signs will be used to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Sunday through Thursday evenings.

This schedule may be extended or changed due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
