Set to begin at 8 p.m., this memorable program also includes cellist Eugene Friesen, gospel jazz singer Jolie Rocke Brown, jazz singer Sharon Clark and Massachusetts-based teen rap duo Roshay and AJ, who will offer their positive “Stop the Violence” message.
Footsteps of Peace is a national initiative for peace and the eradication of racism celebrated in performances of original music, signing, art and the spoken word. The two-hour concert aims to enlighten, entertain and inspire change.
Each year Footsteps of Peace pays tribute to a world humanitarian and the late Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall is the 2017 honoree. Marshall was the first African-American Justice of the Supreme Court and was instrumental in ending legal segregation.
Jose Nadeau, a live visual artist, will paint a portrait of Marshall on stage during the concert.
