The festivities kick off at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the the field at St. Ann Church, 481 Brewster Street, in the heart of Bridgeport’s Black Rock neighborhood. Guests can enjoy corn hole contests, dancing, live music, local artisans, a haunted house and local craft beer tasting until closing time at 5 p.m.
The hootenanny celebrates the end of the harvest season for the farmers market, voted the best in Fairfield County by Daily Voice readers in a recent DVlicious poll.
The day’s beer tastings will feature Black Hog Brewing, New England Brewing, Two Roads Brewing, Duvig Brewing and Black Rock’s own Aspetuck Brew Lab, among others.
Local restaurant Walrus + Carpenter will provide a pig roast and guests can warm up by a bonfire in a casual lounge area and listen to music by The Giddy Up and Grit Rhythm.
Admission is $5, with proceeds directly benefitting the 2017 season. Children under 12 are free.
