Five nominees are in the running for the “DVlicious best in Fairfield County,” each of which is being profiled this week. What follows are some tasty morsels to chew on, giving you food for thought before you click on your favorite.

Why Go: Bottomless mimosas all weekend long is one reason; the other is the thoughtful cuisine prepared, as much as possible, with seasonal, local produce. Among the standout dishes: Eggs Benedict on top of grilled applewood smoked ham , a grilled 6 ounce hanger wteak with caramelized onions In red wine, roasted tomato fondue, eggs and English muffin and Huevos al Diablo, two eggs baked in braised black beans, served with a grilled (pork) chorizo sausage, house made hot pepper sauce, and two warm flour tortillas. There's also a four-egg omelet with Maine lobster meat, spinach, goat cheese and diced tomato with tarragon and chives.
Worth Waking Up For: Did we say the unlimited mimosas? TruNorth also sports a creative list of six signature cocktails including Empire Crush, premium French vodka from the Rockefeller Family, cointreau, farm fresh raspberries, fresh squeezed lime juice, and housemade sugar cane syrup or the U-Pick-It Texas Lemonade, Tito's handmade vodka, lemonade, freshly muddled strawberries, raspberries or blueberries served with a slash of seltzer.
When: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sundays, though you can also get their regular salad/sandwich menu.
