Bridgeport's Timothy's Is Winner In DVlicious Ice Cream Contest

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Just in time for Creative Ice Cream Flavor Day (it's Wednesday, July 1) and the Fourth of July weekend, Timothy's in Bridgeport has been named "Best Ice Cream in Fairfield County" by you -- our Daily Voice readers.

The DVlicious contest has been going on since June 4, with ever-changing results, including a close call between Saugatuck Sweets in Westport, with 41 percent of the vote, and Timothy's, the ultimate winner, with 46 percent.

The 33-year-old ice cream parlor, located at 2974 Fairfield Ave., will be receiving a DVlicious certificate as well as "last licks" on beating the competition. Click here for previous Daily Voice story.
