The gala's net proceeds will support critical mental health and behavioral supports provided by center to Fairfield County's most vulnerable youth, said a release.

The center, with offices in Bridgeport, Fairfield, Norwalk, and Stratford, works to promote positive child development and the emotional well-being of children and to empower families to provide a nurturing caring and safe haven for children to grow and mature.

Families served by the center struggle with such basic needs as food, clothing and shelter, and many have been adversely impacted by significant trauma, according to the release.

“We are continually inspired by how emotionally strong a struggling family can become when given the types of evidence-based support that we provide,” said Michael Patota, CEO/President, the Child and Family Guidance Center.

The following will be the gala honorees:

  • Jason Morales, Central High School Class of 2016
  • Sameer Abdulgalil, Child & Family Guidance Center Care Coordinator
  • Farmers Insurance
  • U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal

Tickets and sponsorships are available by calling (203) 394-6529, ext. 3069, or visiting www.cfguidance.org.
