Mount Saint Mary Students Begin Summer Research Program
A new group of Mount Saint Mary College students has started an eight-week summer research program in Newburgh. The college’s 2026 Summer Undergraduate Research Experience program, known as SURE, began Monday, May 18. According to Mount Saint Mary College, the program matches students from a range of academic disciplines with faculty mentors for focused scholarly and creative work. The opening session included academic planning and team-building activities on campus before students began research work. Harvard University faculty voted to cap the number of A grades undergraduate students can receive beginning in 2027, according to multiple news reports, including CBS.
