A major expansion is underway at Cross County Center in Westchester County, where developers have broken ground on what will be one of the largest additions to the shopping center in decades.
The project, announced Friday, May 29, will add 58,000 square feet of new retail space to the center's north lot, including a 14,000-square-foot retail building and a two-story, 44,000-square-foot flagship retail building, according to owner Marx Realty.

A Virginia woman is accused of cashing in on desperate renters by posing as a real estate agent, collecting security deposits and first month’s rent before vanishing without handing over the keys, authorities say.
Kimberly Vu, 45, of Sterling, was indicted by a grand jury on 26 charges this week following what investigators described as an extensive fraud investigation by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.
