A vehicle crash and overturned tractor-trailer brought a massive emergency response to the New Jersey Turnpike in Burlington County early Tuesday, May 14. Officials are investigating the death of Pennsylvania police officer and US Navy reservist Daniel McCracken. Chester City police officer Daniel D. Nafiysh Knox-Schenck Escaped Custody, Philly Police Say
City police are looking for a man who escaped the back of a squad car in Philadelphia on Monday morning, May 13, authorities say. Nafiysh Knox-Schenck, 32, was arrested on a warrant for alleged Violations of the Uniform Firearms Act, PPD said. A gun was recovered during his arrest, according to officials. After he was placed in a police car on West Collum Street, an "unknown person" opened the door and he escaped, the department said.
