Driver Flees From Crash That Killed Passenger On Route 9: Prosecutor
A 47-year-old North Plainfield man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Woodbridge on Saturday, Oct. 25 in which the driver had fled from, authorities said. Mario Ortiz Bonilla was found dead in the front passenger's seat of the 2017 Kia Sportage on Route 9 and Green Street in Woodbridge just after 9:05 a.m., Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Woodbridge PD Director Robert Hubner said. Death Of Bergen County Woman Not Considered Suspicious: Prosecutor
Authorities have identified the 62-year-old woman found dead in a bedroom of her Bergen County home this weekend. Police performing a wellness check found Brigitte Santhouse dead in a bedroom of her home in Maywood Friday, Oct. 25, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Records show Sanhouse lived on Maybrook Drive, located within the Maywood Gardens, a garden apartment complex. Police said the circumstances around her death do not appear suspicious.

Boy With Autism, Father Reunited By Paramus Police After Jarring 2 Hours
Police officers in Paramus reunited a 13-year-old boy with autism and his father after the boy wandered off from the family home Sunday morning, Oct. 27, authorities said. The 5'9" Black male was wearing a black tracksuit and red and white sneakers when he wandered off near Split Rock Road around 8:15 a.m., Paramus Police Chief Robert Guidetti said. The department deployed its drone unit and updated its social media accounts to notify the public. Woman Struck, Seriously Injured By Car Crossing Hackensack Intersection
A 74-year-old woman was hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle Saturday night, Oct. 26 in Hackensack, police said. The woman was crossing the street at the intersection of Hudson and Moonachie Road when she was struck around 9:45 p.m., Police Chief Michael Antista said. The female suffered serious bodily injury and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and was cooperating with investigators. The incident is under investigation.

A 22-year-old Kia Soul operator pulled out of the Plato's Closet parking lot at 137 Route 46 West and crossed both westbound lanes of the highway to try to enter an emergency vehicle U-turn cut to try to get over to Route 46 East in Fairfield around 7:30 p.m., Fairfield Police Officer Stacy Chiarolanza said. A dog hit by a car earlier this month on Route 4 is nearly ready for a fur-ever family. Stella was struck by the vehicle in Hackensack on Oct. 13 and taken to Oradell Animal Hospital, where she was treated for broken ribs and a fractured pelvis. The fleet of fighter jets that many people heard and saw as they flew into Teterboro Airport on Friday, Oct. 25 are expected to fly over MetLife Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 26.
