'Bittersweet:' Hanna Krause Candy Shop Closing After 65 Years In Paramus Since 1959, Hanna Krause Home Made Candies located right off Route 17 in Paramus has been the go-to candy store for thousands of people, from both near and far. Anyone who's seen it knows it, and anyone who's been inside can still smell it. But in a bittersweet twist of fate, the iconic Hansel and Gretal-esque, tudor building with colorful cutouts and friendly faces will be closing its doors on Friday, June 28, after 65 years. Emergency Vehicles At I-95 Tractor Trailer Crash Scene In Prince William County A tractor trailer crash slowed traffic along I-95 in Prince William County on Friday afternoon, May 31. It happened at milepost 155.3 in Neabsco, in the northbound lanes. VDOT cameras show a firetruck and ambulance at the scene. The north right lane and right shoulder were closed.

Man Found Dead On Apartment Floor In Fairfax County Still Not ID'd, Police Say Police in Fairfax County are seeking the public's help identifying a man who was found dead in the area last month. The man's body was discovered on the floor of an apartment building on the 6000 block of Argyle Drive in Bailey’s Crossroads around 12:35 p.m. April 6, the county police department said. He was pronounced dead at the scene and no foul play was suspected. "Despite extensive efforts, detectives have been unable to identify the man," police said. Drugs, Ammo, Stolen Gun Found On Man Who Fired Shots In Virginia Street Argument, Cops Say A 24-year-old man has been arrested after police say he fired a gun in an area roadway during an argument in which Good Samaritans had stopped to help. Dan Benedict Galvez had been arguing with a woman around 6:50 a.m. on May 29 at Shoppers Best Way near Worth Avenue, where Good Samaritans had stopped to assist, Prince William County police said. Sterling Man Arrested In Triple Leesburg Shooting, Police Say A 19-year-old man has been arrested in a shooting that left three people wounded in Loudoun County, authorities said. Sylvanus Massaquoi is believed to have shot the three males on the 800 block of Edwards Ferry Road NE in Leesburg around 7:45 p.m. Thursday, May 30, police said. The victims were taken to area hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Massaquoi, of Sterling, was arrested and charged with aggravated malicious wounding. Dumont Hardware Owner Closing Up Shop Reflects On 78 Years Of Business Bill Salisbury was just a kid when he began working at Dumont Hardware. His father, Harry, opened the store in 1946, and when he turned 12 , Salisbury would come in on weekends to help clean the place. As he wiped down the windows and swept the floors, Salisbury would listen in on the conversations between the electricians, plumbers, and painters who came for supplies.
