Old Hotel Could Get New Look: Arlington Seeks Public Input On Red Lion Inn Redevelopment Arlington officials are asking the public to weigh in on the redevelopment of the Red Lion Inn. Orr Partners took over redevelopment plans for the Arlington Boulevard and Fairfax Drive hotel in 2019, and hope to transform it into a condo building and hotel. Orr Partners is hoping to rezone the hotel — which was built in the 1950s and formerly known as the Best Western Iwo Jima hotel — along with the Ellis Arms apartment next door. New Library, Affordable Apartments Could Be On Horizon In Reston Developer Foulger-Pratt may be able to move forward with their proposal for a brand new Reston library and affordable apartment units, FFXnow reported. In October 2021, Foulger-Pratt submitted an unsolicited proposal to the county government with potential plans for a new 40,000-square-foot library, along with about 350 affordable housing units in two buildings with structured parking, the website said.  The Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority called for other private developers to submit their proposals for this project, as well, reports said.  A public hearing is …
