Man Who Made Bomb Threat From Detention Center Bathroom Arrested In Virginia, Police Say An intoxicated 30-year-old man caused a stir at the Prince William-Manassas Adult Detention Center (ADC) after calling in a fake bomb threat from inside the building, police say. Haymarket native Ray Darnell Smith made a scene on Thursday afternoon at the facility after making phony threats that gave some a scare. Inmate Charged With Assault After Tossing Cup Of Water At Virginia Detention Center Officer An inmate has been charged after assaulting an adult detention center officer in Prince William County, authorities say. Alexander McCadden, 28, was charged with assault and battery on an adult detention center officer after throwing a cup of water at an officer around 3:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 13, according to Prince William County police. No injuries were reported as a result of the altercation, and McCadden remains incarcerated inside of the Prince William-Manassas Adult Detention Center. A court date to address the incident is pending.

Inmate Dies In Prince William-Manassas Jail Inmate Dies In Prince William-Manassas Jail
Inmate Dies In Prince William-Manassas Jail A 38-year-old Dumfries man died while in custody at the Prince William-Manassas Adult Detention Center over the weekend, authorities said. Wilber Garcia Benitez, 38, fell unresponsive in his cell at the at around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, police said in an incident report. Jail staff attempted to give him first aid, but they were unsuccessful. Officials pronounced him dead at the scene.  Prince William county police are investigating the death and have sent his body for autopsy. Officers do not suspect foul play, the incident report noted.
